Sending executable(*.exe) Files in Gmail/Any Other(Corporate) Mails

It was one of my dreams to write a blog one or the other day …. i attended the barcampbangalore on dec 2 … saw array of bloggers blogging …. i was inspired by them and thought of writing my own blog and here goes my first blog .

Yeah My first Blog will be a small hack on sending executables(*.exe) in gmail
[ hack m3ans a 5mall a Tweak not anything malicious]

I was trying to attach an executable file in gmail ……. There came an alert Stating “This is an executable File ,Gmail doesnot allow u to send this type of file” :-(

As i wanted to send an exe to my friend urgently i archived it and sent it to him …. but it was rejected in his corporate id saying security restrictions quoting some policies …

So i tried renaming in different extensions … all my efforts went in vain

Atlast i found it Renaming your excecutables extensions(*.exe) to any photo file formats(*.jpeg,*.jpg,*.bmp) is the hack

[setup.exe -->setup.jpg]

It would enable to send any *exe (which is now renamed as *.jpg) from gmail to any other mails ………..

Atlast i finished My first Blog …………..

    Try dropsend ( http://www.dropsend.com/ ). It tries to solve exactly that problem, and you can use it for large files too.
